How long is an assessment with Brian?

Typically, the initial assessment with Brian is 45 to 60 minutes long.

Does Brian treat Vertigo?

Yes, Brian treats several clients with Vertigo every week.

Does Brian practice Acupuncture?

Yes, Brian is trained through the AFCI (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) and practices Acupuncture.

Does Brian assess and treat concussions?

Yes, Brian is a Certified Athletic Therapist and IMPACT Concussion specialist who can assess and treat concussions.

Do I need a referral to see a PT?

No, Physiotherapists are first-line healthcare practitioners, so you do not need a prescription from a doctor for Physiotherapy. While some extended insurance companies require a doctor’s prescription to reimburse you, our clinic does not require a referral to treat you.

Can Brian order an X-Ray, CT scan, Ultrasound, or MRI?

Registered Physiotherapists in Ontario will soon be able to order diagnostic testing as soon as the rostering system with the College of Physiotherapists is created by fall 2023. Bill 179 allows Physiotherapists in Ontario to make a full diagnosis of an injury. Additionally, Brian has an association with Medcentra at St. Michael’s Hospital, which allows him to order private MRIs at a cost of $900 to the patient. This can be done within a few days and allows our patients to get MRIs quicker.

How long has Brian been practicing Orthopedics?

Brian was a Certified Athletic Therapist in 1996 and began practicing since then. In 1998, he returned to school to study Physiotherapy at McMaster University, and he has been practicing in Oakville since 2000, specializing in Orthopedics. In 2013 he furthered his education with a Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy from University of Western Ontario.
